after the crazy rush of assignments n tests, its time 2 have a break... to study yet again!.. sigh.. study leave was from 15-21 sept.. i had some serious catching up 2 do coz with 7 subjects n 7 days, tat means 1 subject = 1 day! which was really impossible. monday n tuesday, was really rajin.. put alarm 8am, wake up 9am then started studying.. did study alot..on wednesday, had to go back coll 4 accounts replacement class.. so lazy.. was really sleepy during the class.. came back home n lepak whole day.. no mood 2 study.. thursday was fnb practical final exam.. among the things to do was create a drink.. so i made this drink which was blended vanilla ice-cream+dark choc+hazel nuts+peppermint.. went n ask my beloved n trusty neighbours AKF n chris to taste it.. lol... chris said the mint too strong n its a bit thick.. feel jelak after a few sips.. wow.. i kinda agree tat the mint was kinda strong.. so on the test day, i decided to make it not tat thick n cut down on the mint.. when the test was gonna start. mr jason only gave us 20 mins 2 buy our ingredients n 20 mins 2 prepare our drink.. evil.... so we ran all the way down to cold storage n it was not opened yet!!.. swt.. where was i gonna buy my ice cream?. then betty thought of mcd. but does mcd sell ice cream in the morning? i went there anyways, n thank God! they did hav ice cream! pheww.... so i ordered 2 choc sundae's without the choc.. rm6.. rasa sakit hati abit but all 4 the sake of the exam! then we rushed to the 4th floor mamak 2 buy ice cubes coz legend hotel, (where we get our free ice cubes) ice maker rosak.... of all days to rosak.. swt..
when it was my turn 4 the exam, was a little nervous coz mr jason was the 1 pretending to b our customer.. i already expected tat he will ask lots of questions like wats in the dishes of my menu, eg., my chefs salad, chicken consomme... n where do the ingredients come from n all.. since i din hav enough time 2 remember, i juz bantai said anything tat came to my mind! i think he realized it though.. lol.. then came the question which i was totally unprepared.. how many grams per serving was my sirloin steak?. i was like crap!! r u serious?!!! how should i know?!! i juz stared at him 4 a few secs.. was thinking, 100g? 200g? but 100g sounded too little rite? coz this is meat n it should b heavier? but fine dining food usually very kedekut with their portions n serve very little rite? but how little was little? so in the end, the genius me answered 500g.. 500g?! mr jason said 'r u serious? after the meal, i wanna meet the chef who cooks 500g of sirloin steak per serving!'.. i started laughing.. then i remembered.. oh wait, this is a test.. serious..serious... n when i was driving home, thinking of the happenings of the day like i always do every time, it hit me tat 500g of sirloin steak is really alot! its 1/2 kg!! *smacks forehead!* wat a ding dong i was!.. wat was i thinking?! then i started imagining how it was gonna b like serving 1/2 kg of meat to ppl.. LOL!!
the days passed n then, execution time.... EXAM..
