Prom

Prom was on friday(28 nov).. this prom was also a dinner 4 the graduates.. hav been really busy preparing n being nervous, anxious, n scared for it since im the mc with my fren.. not to mention im working at nite which contributes to the stress..

The prom was in the grand ballroom of legend hotel.. on tues, 25th nov, we went there 2 hav a rehearsal.. the moment i saw the stage, i was freaking out!!.. it was so huge! there's nowhere for me to hide from the view of every1! the rehearsal was really messy.. it was supposed to b a full rehearsal, as though it was the real prom, but we were playing n messing around n others kept kacau-ing when my fren n i were trying to do our mc stuff n introduce the vip..etc..(vip includes hotel manager of legend hotel, grand seasons hotel as well as other hotel ppl.. gulp.. O.o) . on thursday, went coll to rehearse.. n again, it was not a good rehearsal.. we juz read our script infront of the lecturers n head of college.. Chef maria n Chef Atira were really helpful though.. they were in charge of us.. im really greatful to them coz they encouraged us n were fun 2 hav around.. after i went home, i fell sick.. fever n constantly felt like vomiting.. i think it was because of the nervousness n stress to do well 4 the prom.. i went to work tat nite anyway.. thank God i managed to pull thru..

skipped the final rehearsal on fri morn.. decided to take a proper rest n get well.. went to coll at 4pm (prom starts at 7).. met up with my co-mc to practice, met chef maria to go thru the events 4 the nite n ms linda helped me with make up.. i dun know how to make up AT ALL... she did a really good job with the short time tat she had... hehehee...*blush*.. on the way to the ballroom, i was feeling really cold n my heart was thumping n thundering! we had to meet with the head of fnb 4 tat nite 2 coordinate the time of when the food will b served n when we were supposed to talk..etc.. i never thought bout this when i took the mc-ing job.. i tot mc juz talk n introduce the next event.. lol..

people started arriving.. the ballroom was starting to get filled up.. then last min, the probs came pouring in.. no bowl 4 lucky draw lots, vip is late (which im thankfull so tat we can start later, thus more time to calm down.. but i didnt calm down at all), n the worst, the band(1st performance) was stuck in a jam!! dj was also 1 hour late.. then when the band had arrived n we introduced them, there was problem with the sound.. when dj arrived, no cable to pluck his laptop! a dance performance was suddenly canceled.. prob after prob!.. i was running here n there, making sure the people were ready 4 the next event on the agenda.. really hectic.. my fren told a joke to stall time but no1 laughed!...

other than the numerous probs, it was fun n a really good experience.. i had no time to take pics with my frens.. only took pics after the prom was over n i camwhored a little when i reached back home.. :D i cant upload the pics onto the comp.. got some prob with the cable! lol.. where did i hear tat line b4? *roles eyes*... will try other methods to do so.. all glory goes to God 4 helping me thru this tough n interesting nite... :)
