hav not been on9-ing n blogging in a while coz hav been busy reading the books my sis n i bought.. hehehehe.. finish reading 'a christmas carol' by charles dickens and now im reading 'my story' by lewis hamilton, a mclaren mercedes formula 1 driver.. yes.. im a f1 fan, but im not into the technical stuff like how many cylinders does the car hav, this suspension n tat.. i juz like the sport.. i remember saying to my bro last time, 'wats so interesting bout watching cars going round n round so many times?'.. i laugh at myself for saying tat coz now, i love f1!! i try to watch as many races as possible n actually wanted 2 go 2 singapore 2 watch the first ever nite race, live but i couldnt... sigh.. the tickets also so mahal.. in $$ summor.. not RM.. i tot can go to some tall building to watch the race illigaly in Sg or panjat some pokok kelapa in johor n use binoculars 2 watch.. not bad rite my ideas? XD ... anyway.. back to the reason im writing this post, bout lewis hamilton's book!!...

i was leaving the mph warehouse sale, after paying for the books we bought, n i stumbled across this stack of lewis hamilton's book.. i paused.. should i get it? it was only rm15!. im a ferrari fan n this is lewis hamilton from mclaren mercedes, ferrari's no.1 rival!!! but i m really interested in reading his story... hate to admit it but his rookie year in f1 was really impresive n his book was in the newpapers n on tv too.. sigh.. i was really stuck.. i finally decided to grab the book n pay 4 it.. n im really glad i did buy it coz its interesting.. to me laa..

after reading the book, i admire him even more.. not admire as in like him, but admire his spirit n the way he handles the ups n downs in life.. i didn't know f1 was a really tough n demanding sport.. the drivers make it look so easy.. n in order to make it to f1, u hav to go thru so many stages n championships.. n money is another big factor.. also, u hav 2 b really fit.. physically n mentally.. even ur mood will affect ur driving.. the jet lag which u will get every week from the frequent travelling n adapting to diff weather n food.. while driving, if u even loose concentration for a few seconds, u may crash or something.. 1 second really makes a HUMUGOUS difference in f1.. i even read tat drivers loose up to 2kg after every race.. wat a way to loose weight!! so where can i sign up 2 be a f1 driver?? XD

i didn't know tat lewis's parents were divorced when he was 2 years old.. his father married again n his stepmom gav birth 2 his half bro, nicholas, 7 years younger than him.. according to him, he has the greatest stepmom ever.. he loves his bro very much too.. his bro is diagnosed with celebral palsy n is his greatest motivation when he's feeling down.. at the young age of 10, he signed a contract with mclaren mercedes who sponsored his racing career.. when i was 10, strd 4, i dun think im even close to wat he has achieved.. our level of maturity must hav been a massive diff!! he was also faced with emense pressure to perform well.. many ppl disliked him because they were jealous of his talent n also of the contract he had with mclaren at such a young age.. i can also say he's a family man coz he writes bout his father alot.. his father sacrificed alot for him n was his manager n motivator.. he picked up karate coz ppl at skool were bulying him.. to think tat he's only 23 years old this year.. same age as my sis! n how much has he gone thru.. really amazed n awed.. wow...

i read tat he's a really humble person.. hope he keeps tat attitude even with all the fat paychecks tat he's getting into his overflowing bank account! n even after i read bout him, im still no doubt currently a ferrari n kimi fan(though i prefer lewis's personality to kimi's).. go ferrari!!!
